Next Lovell Neighborhood Watch Meeting Police dog Karo was unable to bring Maine State Police Trooper Adam Fillebrown to the meeting, because they had to work. We look forward to seeing them at the next meeting.
Rachel Kuvaja brought a beautiful cake and coffee to mark the first anniversary of the group. She will be bringing refreshments to each meeting now, and there will be a tip jar to cover the cost.
Sergeant Timothy Ontengco gave the incidents and updates report. All cases in Lovell are cleared; there are no crimes under investigation. Juvenile Locke is on the run and last seen in NH. Sergeant Matt Baker gave the update report on the Gilbert Telford case. Oxford County Sheriff Wayne J. Gallant took center stage with updates on the many programs being instituted by the Department. Things are moving along very well, and very quickly, with the programs. Money is being saved, donated equipment is being sought, various towns and county resources are being utilized in efficient manners. Did you know that if a check is bounced at your Lovell store, the Sheriff's Department may be able to help you collect on it? Did you know that we do have access to "high tech" equipment with no long waiting period, and one local crime was already solved by DNA matching? Meeting attendees hear more than you'll ever read in these notes, so please try and attend the meetings. No babysitter? Bring the kids and let them color and draw at a corner table. Don't want to come to the meeting alone? Call to share a ride. Do you think these meetings won't help you? Think again.
There are still some Free copies of the 206 page book from FEMA: Are You Ready? An In-depth Guide to Citizen Preparedness. Pick up one at the next meeting, or call FEMA from our resource page. Contact forms may be printed here online and be used to email, mail, or bring to the next meeting. These forms may be used to contact various people or groups by simply checking boxes. If you have a question, request, suggestion, or simply want to pass a thought along, we want to hear from you.
Thanks for helping to keep Lovell a safer place for everyone to call home. Roxanne Craig 925-3295 | |
