We had a meeting full of information, and a great break from cabin fever. Lovell Neighborhood Watch is now two years old. The officers cannot stress enough the importance of calling in tips. They want us to know we are not bothering anyone, they need our eyes and ears to help them solve crimes. A short program on suspicous activity was presented by Sgt. Ontengco. Sgt Matthew Baker gave the report on very few incidents in the past month. We had a discussion on the new call sharing method, it is working well for the officers and best of all we the citizens benefit most with good coverage. Lt. Walter Gryzb answered questions about a recent televison program where he was featured, for solving the Crystal Perry murder in neighboring Bridgton. Lt Gryzb also had hand outs for the upcoming Child ID Day. There is a lot of excitement about the "good" we can do for the children by providing these kits FREE to the first 250 kids.The officers will assist with finger prints and dna collection (cheek swab) and that information is not retained by anyone but the parent. Please mark your calendar for March 22nd form 9am to noon @ New Suncook School. Please tell your friends and family, this is an important gift to give every child we know. All are welcome! We will have balloons, ice cream, face painting, and McGruff the crime dog will be in attendance. Each child processed can enter a drawing for an Easter Basket filled with surprises. Come join the fun and take home a very important kit filled with your childs identity. Call 925-3295 with any questions. Next meeting March 19,2008. Topic will be child internet safety presented by Lt Gryzb. This is a two part program geared to parents and children , so please bring your children. We are celebrating March as child safety month.
