Notes from the Lovell Neighborhood Watch Meeting: November 19, 2008

This month's meeting was an informal update on everything going on in the town and County.
Please remember not to leave anything on your property close to the road. The crimes this winter are economy based. Firewood is worth a lot of money. So is gasoline that can be taken from your car if unseen. Is your oil or gas tank visible from your home? Do you have motion lights set up and working on your property? Criminals won't stick around where they can be seen.
Reminder: Any break-ins at camps won't be noticed until the spring when the owners come back up to them. What is the most wanted item to steal in a camp? Alcohol. If you own a seasonal home, please remember to file an information form with the Sherriff's Department so they will be able to contact you right away.
Thanks for being a part of the team to keep Lovell safe.

Alert!
A cord of wood was stolen from a front yard on Route 5 in North Lovell last night.
Since it is impossible to tell one piece of wood from another, this is a $200 theft that cannot be recovered.
Unless you have a junk yard dog to tie to your wood out front, please put it in the back yard.
Please continue to keep an your neighbor as well as your own property. If you see anyone moving wood in the middle of the night call the police immediately. Thanks!
