Last night concluded the LNW meetings for the year. May you all have safe healthy and happy holidays. IMPORTANT NOTICE... the next meeting is January 20th mark your calendar. The Sheriff will be in charge of the program on self defense. He tells us it is a must see done by Deputy William Nelson. So do not miss this one and bring the whole family. Deputy Danielle Welch was our speaker last night. It was very interesting to hear about her career that started in first grade when she knew she wanted to work in law enforcement. She has a now retired dog that did drug searches with her. She spoke about being a female officer. She even passed the plate around that she wears in her vest. The officers wear about 20 lbs of protective gear. You really missed a meeting filled with info... I cannot begin to list all the facts we gathered. The Sheriff Wayne Gallant attended and gave tons of info and all in a colorful way. Also discussed was an elder day for spring. Such things as date place and things to give out and have available for our citizens. There were 25 incidents in Lovell this past month, many alarms , some domestics and two stand offs. Danielle reminded us not to feel we are in danger, the stand offs were people fighting among themselves. Do not forget to participate this Saturday in the Gasping Gobbler at the athletic field 10 am sharp. It is a walk or run event to benefit the rec. See you there! Thanks to all for all the efforts and team work. We continue each day to keep our precious home town a safe and happy place to go to sleep at night. Please keep in touch with tips and also ideas and anything you can do for the upcoming elder day in the spring. Roxanne Craig 207-925-3295 craigs1980@fairpoint.net
