The Neighborhood Watch meeting was held August 17th. There was discussion on what was going on over the summer. Sgt. Baker gave the incident report. He was very happy to report that Lovell had been relatively quiet since mid June. There were a total of 55 incidents, 11 for police, and 44 for sheriffs. Such things as many 911 hang ups, 9 alarms, 2 car breaks, and 2 minor accidents. I wish you would try to attend some meetings. It is the perfect time to meet the officers and ask your questions. We will be going back to the former start time of 6:30 pm. People had mentioned a later start time would be better, but less came to the meetings. Please mark your calendars for September 21st @ 6:30 pm. SCHOOL WILL OPEN SOON... you know what to do, and what not to do! Be safe and look out for others. Thank You, Roxanne Craig 207-925-3295 craigs1980@fairpoint.net July 26, 2011 Subject: charge card scam Be aware folks in our area are getting calls from Visa, the number is 1-800-847-2911. In speaking to the legal Visa headquarters, they do not call you. Do not give out any of your information. This is not the real Visa it is all a scam! Be smart, be safe, try to stay cool! Also many have email changes you need to give our web master the updated email if you wish to continue to receive the watch emails. Please remind your friends also. August 8, 2011 The following message is from Lt. Gryzb of Maine State Police: Please advise the people on your crime watch list that we had at least 2 reports of vehicles being entered last night on Pleasant Point Road. No damage to those vehicles was reported but $40 dollars was taken from one of the vehicles. Both vehicles were left unlocked. Remind people to keep their vehicles locked and to take any valuables in with them at night. Please remember to help others and share "watching" responsibilities.
