Notes from the Lovell Neighborhood Watch Meeting: May 18, 2011

The watch meeting held this week was a bright spot in this dreary week. Dep. Doug Maifeld spoke and demonstrated Iris Scan. Click here to see his letter. He will be doing the scans in July at Old Home Days. Please click here to download and complete the form to expedite your scan experience at Old Home Days.

The Sheriff spoke on the newest drug, bath salts. He also reminded all of us of breaks, copper thieves; people are opening seasonal homes to find they were broken into.

It is spring~party season, you can save a person's life by reporting incidents. In general there is a lot going on as we awake from winter. Please report what you see that is not quite right.

Sgt. Baker gave the incident report for the Sheriff's department over the past month. There were a total of 11 calls, and the State Police had 5 calls.

The next meeting is June 15th at 7pm. The speaker is Lt. Walter Grzyb. The subject is the solving of the Perry murder.

5/7/11 BE ALERT:
Please help
Copper thieves are in our area. Please report any unusual vehicles, or lights on in vacant homes. If you do not want to call it in I would be glad to help you. The price of copper is high now,, thieves are stripping a whole home of it's pipes. In these hard times there are more burglaries so let's all work together to protect each other. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

5/9/11 BE ALERT,very Alert
Last week I took a report of a camp break at Sabattus Road Lovell. Property owner reported that over April school vacation, his camp was entered and criminal mischief occurred. Windows were smashed. It's probably school kids and the property owner advised this happened last year too, but did not report it. Just for the folks that live up in the Sabattus Rd area…..be vigilant….
