Notes from the Lovell Neighborhood Watch Meeting: October 19, 2011

Thank you to those who attended the meeting.

Sgt. Tim Ontengco gave the incident report from the Sheriff's Department. 18 calls were received over the past month, containing a variety of things, but no major problems. There was no report of incidents from the State Police.

One thing that is happening regularly is copper being stolen from homes. The latest is Oil and K-1 being stolen. So please beware and report! In these lean times people will steal.

There was a lengthy discussion on the man in our area posing as a policeman. If you sense things are not normal in a stop, dial 911, or drive to a populated area. I wish more of you would attend to hear all the tips and ideas. Again, it is a man in his 50's, heavy set, brown belt, hairy knuckles, driving a light colored Ford Crown Victoria with a bubble light on top.

Stay safe. We are counting on our tips!
Thanks so much,
Roxanne Craig
